His Rest Bed & Breakfast located in Freeburg, Illinois invites you to visit our quiet country retreat where rusticity and romantic elegance meet.  We are just minutes from downtown St. Louis, and easily accessible to the highway, yet far enough away to allow you time to unwind.  We all need a change of pace and scenery sometimes.  Our luxuriously rustic log cabin was built in 1977 and provides you with the alluring graces of a cozy hideaway weekend.  Embrace the simple pleasures like the crackling of logs in the fireplace, or a soak in our relaxing redwood cedar hot tub.  You may want to visit our library and gift shop then curl up and  read a good book that has been waiting for you or simply stroll through the herb and flower gardens that surround the cabins.  Upon making a reservation with us, let us know if you would like a candlelight dinner served to you in your room.  Romantic and relaxing way to begin your stay!  The ambiance of timeless treasures awaits you here...

Our main cabin is the perfect venue for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, anniversary and birthday celebrations, spa days, retreats, and reunions.  Genuine warmth and personal attention are given to your every detail.  Our guests are welcome as friends, and treated as family.  The main dining room features a massive stone fireplace where a full country breakfast is served each morning.  A two-course breakfast is served and delicious home baked goods are available upon arrival along with bottled water, soft drinks and snacks. 

Visit Grandma's Tea Parlor where little girl's tea parties come to life in a delightful way!  Colonial dress-up birthday parties along with peanut butterflies and strawberry bonnets are a fun way to celebrate her "special" day.  Luncheons or dessert by the fire can also be arranged.
